MY LOVE: the OFFICIAL VIDEO: the PREMIERE: the LAMAR CLAN sample cd: THE JOURNEY

   My "My love" journey started last year when I listened to an audio from BCIF (my weekly event in Pittsburgh) and heard a song Undateka played at the end and the beginning ... "Is love mi wah give her" immediately grabbed my attention.

I initially thought yo this is siiik ....

I investigated and found that it was a song that Oriel initially recorded with Ras Maisha and later re-did with Pittsburgh Hip Hop artist De'von. At the time it was a project spear headed by our associates over at Afar Music Group.

I liked the song, but I thought this needs to be a straight reggae track

After a few meetings and discussions all parties involved agreed that this should be a lamar clan reggae project.

To summarise what happened after this point:

I contacted Bugle, he recorded his verses, we released the song (available on itunes and all digital outlets http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/my-love-feat.-oriel-single/id496939959) and in January we all flew to Miami to shoot the video.

ok fast forward to this past week.....

We had the official premiere of My Love in Pittsburgh which was also a listening party (this gave patrons a chance to hear some of our upcoming projects)

The event was a huge success, the people in attendance (mostly press, music industry people and reggae patrons) were wowed by Oriel's first performance anywhere, they were delighted by some of the new music they heard in their ears, the Royal Caribbean catered food took their tastebuds on a caribbean vacation, and they got to be the a part of the selected few, the FIRST to see the OFFICIAL MY LOVE VIDEO.

Donsville from DMG the actual mastermind behind the video was in attendance and he shared his vision and introduced the video. Wadria Taylor from Style and Steel Event Planning (the obvious planner of the event) and myself hosted the event and kept it moving along and after the video was shown Oriel joined us on stage and we answered the many questions on people's minds.

Let me play devil's advocate:

If a lot of us weren't raised in or became a part of the "jamaican" "reggae" culture

Would we be so adamant about our "hatred" of Homosexuals?

Would a man who every gyal sidung inna him face so strongly verbalize his disapproval of oral sex ?

Why is it that some men would quickly buy a bottle of champagne in a party but be hesitant to contribute to say the woman who takes care of their child aka the "baby mama"?

again I could write another 12 page blog with questions such as these

but again I'm sure you got the point

An opinion as defined by dictionary.com is a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.

So an opinion is wah somady else think about you and dem no have no real facts to base it on

It don't sound like it should be that important to you does it??

Lamar Clan Productions to Host Listening Party and Video Premiere

Pittsburgh, PA- May 1, 2012--The popular Pittsburgh based production team Lamar Clan
is hosting an exclusive listening party and video premiere of 2k12 single Bugle ft Oriel -
My Love on Thursday, May 17th at the Blue Room located at the Shadow Lounge in East
Liberty from 9pm-11pm.

This event is invitation only and will be attended by press, music executives, producers,
bloggers and promoters from all around the country. Guests will be the first to watch the
video and get a first listen at unreleased music from Lamar Clan recording artists. The
Video Launch and Listening party is a great opportunity to not only hear new music but
to also discuss them with the artists in a Q & A session.

Each guest will receive a CD with the single "My Love" and other exclusive tracks from
